Twelfth Day Launch Northern Quarter
North West Folk music clubs picScottish fiddle and harp duo, Twelfth Day, will be officially launching their debut album at Kro Bar in Manchester (the one opposite the university) on Wednesday 30th June.

Northern Quarter will be released on Monday 5th July on Orange Feather Records.

Twelfth Day comprises Catriona Price (fiddle) from Orkney and Esther Swift (harp) from Peebleshire. The pair began playing together during their studies at the Royal Northern College of Music and the album is a culmination of many years gigging and playing festivals on the folk and contemporary music circuits.

Also on the bill are Hannah Nicholson of Paperwives and Ben Cashell of Feldspar.

The event is presented by live music promoters, Friends of Mine, in conjunction with For Folk's Sake, Manchester's monthly folk and acoustic night.

'The album really is an exciting collection that Catriona and Esther have been working on for so long. I can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it, take it home and be as spellbound as I was on first listen,' says Sophie Parkes of For Folk’s Sake.

Proceedings get under way at 8pm and tickets are £3 in advance from the Friends of Mine website or £5 on the door (£3 NUS)
