North West Folk News No22 | Ashley Hutchings and Ken Nicol play the town hall at New Mills in the Peak District on Saturday February 18th, in a concert which will include songs from their recent album 'Copper, Russet and Gold'.
Hutchings, dubbed the Father of British Folk-Rock co-founded legendary folk rock groups 'Fairport Convention', 'Steeleye Span' and 'The Albion Band', while Nicol was a long standing member of the latter two.
The event is a fund-raiser for the New Mills Community Festival (NMCF) which takes place in the town each September and has been organised in partnership with 'Live and Local' the touring network which promotes professional arts in rural communities.
