Long time readers of this site will be familiar with Nicola Beazley, who has run fiddle and big band workshops which have been showcased at Littleborough Rushbearing and Rambottom Festival.
Now Nicola and accordian player Alex Cumming are making a record. Or at least trying to. The pair have launched a kickstarter project and are looking for funding. They aim to raise £3250 which they need to do by 27th March 2015.
After a year of solid gigging in 2014, including an appearance at Towersey, and having sold out of the EP which was recorded and produced in summer at their own expense, Nicola and Alex feel ready to move onto making a full album. They are confident in their material, and can count on friends to record with and help with artwork. The main cost of the project is the hiring of the studios, a producer and the pressing of the CD itself.
Donations can start from as little as a pound and there are also rewards for contributors such as a signed copy of the album, your name in the album, launch party tickets and a tune or ceilidh dance written specially for you. For more details visit the link below.
