Pontio are staging their first cabaret of 2010 at Bangor University’s Neuadd Powis Hall. Featured artists are The New Rope String Band and Calan.

A Golden Opportunity
As mentioned earlier in the week, Hunter Muskett, cult folk band of the seventies are doing a small number of gigs to celebrate the re-issue of their first album. The first of these is at the Aspinall Arms in the Ribble Valley.
They have a gap in their schedule on Saturday May 8th and are looking for a filling in gig. This is a great opportunity to get a band who are very much part of British folk history at a reasonable price. To enquire use the contact link on the top right and we’ll pass the message on.

Sorry about the 'S' word. It should be 'football' - we're Brits right? But that doesn't make for as cute a paragraph heading.
Mossley AFC has been in existence since 1903, but financial difficulties put its continued operation in jeopardy. It didn’t help when the floodlights fell down recently. There’s a campaign to raise funds for the club and one of the events, on Thursday 11th Feburary, features NorthWestFolk listed band GhostSong. Last But Definitely Not Least
Sad news with the passing of Dave Cooper at the start of this week. Dave had performed on the Lancashire Folk scene and beyond for over forty years and was a stalwart of Fleetwood Folk Club. Condolences to his family and friends.
