A Tribute to Captain Dave
North West Folk music clubs picOn Thursday April 1st the Steamer pub in Fleetwood will play host to a tribute concert dedicated to Dave Cooper who passed away in February.

Dave had performed on the Lancashire Folk scene and beyond for over forty years and was a stalwart of Fleetwood Folk Club.

The remaining members of his band ‘Captain Cooper’s Motley Crew’ will lead the event with, proceeds going to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

‘It will be a moving evening and, hopefully, we are going to raise a good amount of money for the lifeboat which was his favourite charity,’ Pat Kearney, a member of the band told local paper, the Gazette.

The Alan Bell Band, Scold's Bridle, Jim Smith, Spitting on a Roast, Hard Times, Thistle and Penny Black will also be appearing. The evening starts at 8 pm.
