The Magpie’s Nest, BBC Radio 2 Folk Club of the Year, is taking a celebratory lap of the country. The tour, entitled Two For Joy, will feature Celtic stompers, The Long Notes, and Plaster of Paris.
On Saturday May 8th, the show comes to Manchester’s Contact Theatre and will be opened by Twelfth Day, a harp and fiddle duo, who are based in the city.
"We're delighted to be asked to support The Long Notes and Plaster of Paris on this special tour," said band member Catriona Price.
The concert will be jointly hosted by Manchester promoters, For Folk’s Sake and Americana promoters, Hobopop Presents. Tickets priced at £8 (£6 for concessions) can be obtained direct from the Contact Theatre at the link below.
