That’s the name of Phil Drane’s new folk club which happens at Lowick Community Hall, Lowick, near Ulverston. The opening day is Monday 14th June, with subsequent evenings taking place at fortnightly intervals.
The doors open at 7.45 pm for an 8 pm start. Adult listeners get in for £2, performers £1 and under 16s for free. Both traditional and contemporary folk music is catered for and floor spots are open to folk singers and musicians.

The latest Salford Folk Music workshop takes place on on Friday 4th June - 7.45 for 8pm start in Room 824, Maxwell building, Salford University and they’re always happy to welcome new people.
This month the leaders are Steve & Ishbel Saxton, focusing on a mixture of French & English dance tunes.
And the Following Day..
On Saturday 5th June there’s a workshop and concert with the highly respected Chris Foster, one of the best performers in the British ballad tradition.
He’ll be accompanied by Bara GrimsDottir from Reykjavík in Iceland who is one of the foremost practitioners of Icelandic singing traditions and reviver of traditional instruments like the fiðla and the langspil.
The workshop will focus on the unique style of harmony singing in parallel fifths and an introduction to other styles of Icelandic song such as "Rímur" - storytelling in song and "Vikivaki"- story-songs sung while dancing in a circle. It is suitable for all levels of ability.
In the evening Chris & Bára will be in concert, performing a mixture of English and Icelandic songs, together and solo with an accompanying slide show.
All this happens at Gregson Community and Arts Centre, Moorgate
Lancaster. The workshop will take place between 2.30 pm and 4 pm and the concert at 8 pm.
