North West Folk music clubs picNorth West Folk ventured into bandit country last week, otherwise known as Darwen, to see folk rockers Merry Hell play a free gig at bar Number 39. The band were amused to be drinking Alien Rain in close proximity to the Devil's Highway. The former is one of the house beers, the other a reference to the A666 which runs about 100 yards from the entrance. "Only lock if you need a dump," advised a note fixed to the inside of the door." Class.
