This sounds like a fantastic idea, but can I also suggest that the Ring O' Bells Singers' Club (in Warrington - 5 minutes away) is on from 8.30pm for those who can last the pace?
Last week we had a marvellous visit from Jim Radford, who sang some unbelievable unaccompanied material - unbelievable being, quite honestly, the most accurate description. Many people had tears in the eyes from many of the songs; sometimes truly moved and sometimes through uncontrollable laughter!
It's just a shame the so few were there to hear him - 24 in a room which seats 40.
